Network Quality Notice
Recently the network quality team at Commission Junction
enhanced the use of automated tools and processes to better support our ongoing
efforts to maintain and grow a strong network of choice clients. An upgrade has
been made to the network quality utility used by the team to regularly search
publisher Web sites that are associated with the Commission Junction network to
help monitor their compliance with the Publisher Service Agreement. Commission Junction
uses this tool to notify clients that are not in compliance so they can make the
necessary changes.
Commission Junction continues to be committed to providing a quality, high-
performing network for our publishers and advertisers by conducting these types of
searches and the enhancement of this utility allows us to continue to meet that
commitment in a more efficient manner. Frequently Asked Questions
1.
What does the network quality utility do? The network quality utility tool
searches each publisher Web site that is registered in the Commission Junction
network that generates traffic to monitor compliance to the Publisher Service
Agreement, specifically, Sections 1 and/or 2.2. Additionally, searches are made
to monitor continued compliance to advertisers' special terms and conditions. 2.
How often will the network quality utility access my Web pages? The network
quality utility will visit, on a daily basis, all registered sites and all pages
that have generated traffic within the past 30 days. 3. Will the network
quality utility place any extra load on my Web site? Most sites will be
accessed for just a few seconds on average during the utility's daily search.
Since network delays are involved it is possible over short periods that the rate
will appear to be slightly higher. While we don't expect you to experience any
performance issues, if you find that you are experiencing too high a load on your
site, login to your Commission Junction account at www.cj.com
and click on the "Support" tab at the top of the Account Manager to
notify client services via "Ask a Question." 4. Is the network
quality utility new? No. Commission Junction has always searched publisher
Web sites in order to monitor network quality and adherence to the Publisher Service
Agreement. The network quality utility is simply an enhanced version of a tool
that has always been used by Commission Junction. 5. How will the collected
data be used? Collected information is examined by Commission Junction's
network quality team for any content suggesting non-compliance with the Publisher
Service Agreement as well as an advertiser's special terms and conditions. If
necessary, a member of the team will notify publishers that are not in compliance
so they can make the necessary changes. 6. How is the network quality
activity beneficial to clients? This utility gives advertisers the ability
and assurance to enter the pay-for-performance network. Advertisers with specific
or restricted program requirements are better able to extend complex offers through
the network and manage more relationships with publishers comfortably. Ultimately
this will bring more high quality advertisers into performance marketing. 7.
Why is the network quality utility trying to download incorrect links from my
server? Or from a server that doesn't exist? The network quality utility
examines the referring link that generated traffic within the network. If the
link is no longer valid or the registered URL is incorrect the utility will still
try to examine it. For further assistance, login to your Commission
Junction account at www.cj.com
and access the resources in the "Support" tab at the top of the Account
Manager.
